SEAI Grants are available to businesses, homeowners, and communities.
The next 3 days will see a significant increase in the number of solar panels. The Sonnen app is available for iOS and Android.
The Government recently cut the rate of VAT on the supply and installation of solar panels from 13.50% to 0%. We welcome this decision and will pass on the full discount to all our customers as well as retaining all our highly competitive prices for supply and installation. Another step on Ireland’s journey to cleaner, cheaper, renewable energy.

Installing solar PV panels on your roof to produce renewable electricity can be made affordable with this grant.
We engage with schools, communities and individuals across Ireland in order to influence the way that your community views energy.
The more energy you need to produce, the more solar panels will be required. This means that a stand-ard house roof may not be enough to install all the solar panels required.

Harnessing the sun’s energy to convert it into heat and electricity in homes and businesses is a complex process. You need the right equipment, systems and design infrastructure to leverage solar energy effec-tively and the initial installation cost can be substantial.
Sonnen batteries can be used to reduce consumption. Sonnen batteries optimise self-consumption
Solar experts can provide you with valuable advice when they carry out a property survey.
The cost of solar panels will vary depending on the building.
All homeowners, including private landlords, whose homes were built and occupied before 2021 can ap-ply. This is defined as the date your electricity meter was installed. The grant value is calculated on the total maximum output of the Solar PV system, measured in kWp. The grant value is €900 per kWp up to 2 kWp and €300 for every additional kWp up to 4kWp. The total maximum grant value is capped at €2400. A post works BER assessment must be carried out before the grant can be processed. While solar panels do generate energy during cloudy and rainy days, they may not be enough to meet your home's energy requirements. Of course, any power deficit can be comfortably met with battery-stored energy or from the excess energy sent to the energy grid.
2,400 The amount you get depends on the system size you have installed, measured by your solar panel's peak power output (in kW / kWp). 2,400 is the maximum grant. Larger installations still get this amount. Other things you get installed (such as batteries and immersion diverters) do not effect the amount of the grant.
The Government Microgeneration Support Scheme is now available so that those with a registered microgeneration device can sell any excess electricity back to Ireland's electricity grid. This will help households reduce their carbon footprint and save money.
